Project Overview
Lineberty provides digital queue-management solutions that enable organizations to offer virtual queuing, appointment booking, ticket validation, and real-time information through mobile applications, websites, and on-site systems.
Through several recurring consulting assignments, I created, expanded, and modernized Lineberty's English-language developer documentation for the Booking, Validation, and Display REST APIs.
The collaboration evolved from an initial API documentation audit and Hugo website to a more complete Docusaurus developer portal integrating OpenAPI references, conceptual content, workflows, diagrams, and accessibility improvements.
Context
The API reference was initially embedded in OpenAPI files, but developers also needed explanatory content to understand how the different APIs, resources, statuses, and workflows worked together.
The challenge was therefore not limited to improving endpoint descriptions. It involved creating a complete developer experience that combined reference documentation with concepts, architecture, process flows, implementation guidance, and visual explanations.
Because the assignments took place over several years, the documentation also had to evolve with new APIs, product changes, framework upgrades, and increasing expectations regarding navigation, design, maintainability, and accessibility.

API Documentation & Developer Content
I reviewed and enriched the OpenAPI documentation for Lineberty's Booking, Validation, and Display APIs.
This work included:
- clarifying endpoint descriptions, parameters, responses, and statuses;
- identifying inconsistencies or missing explanations in the specifications;
- writing user-oriented documentation around the API references;
- explaining key concepts and functional workflows;
- creating architecture diagrams and visual process flows;
- organizing the content around practical developer needs rather than exposing the API specification alone.
The documentation helped developers understand not only what each endpoint did, but also how the APIs interacted within complete booking, validation, and ticket-display scenarios.
Developer Portal Modernization
I initially implemented the documentation website with Hugo for the authored content and ReDoc for the OpenAPI reference.
When the documentation expanded, I recommended migrating the portal to Docusaurus to provide a more integrated and scalable developer experience. The migration included a full restructuring of the content, a redesigned homepage, clearer navigation, new visual elements, and integration of the OpenAPI specifications through Redocusaurus.
During the final review phase, I upgraded the portal to Docusaurus 3, revised the complete content set, created additional diagrams, and improved the design and accessibility, including CSS work aligned with French RGAA accessibility criteria.
This progressive modernization enabled the documentation platform to evolve from a simple static site into a structured and maintainable developer portal.
My Role
I managed the documentation across several successive phases, combining API analysis, technical writing, information architecture, visual explanation, framework selection, migration, and accessibility improvements.
The recurring nature of the collaboration required me to quickly reassess the documentation at each stage, incorporate product and API changes, and preserve consistency across both the authored guides and the generated reference content.
