🧩 Project Overview
The mission: Redesign the Coheris CRM software Suite documentation in French and English, spanning installation, updates, integration (REST APIs, external data flows), configuration, and functional administration.
Consulting & Strategy
I assessed an obsolete, PDF-based deliverable produced with FrameMaker, Word, and AsciiDoc—tools that blocked timely updates and prevented R&D from contributing.
To unlock collaborative authoring, I proposed a docs-as-code approach powered by Docusaurus. This solution centralized content editing, version control, and site generation, all within the team’s existing GitLab environment.
Technical writing & Implementation
-
Conducted a full documentation audit and hands-on feature review, generating representative data sets for realistic examples.
-
Migrated all documentation to Markdown, set up individual Docusaurus sites for each application release, and enabled built-in i18n for seamless French/English delivery.
-
Updated every screenshot, diagram, and illustration to reflect the latest UI and workflows.
-
Completely overhauled the REST API section—rewrote endpoints, integrated ReDoc; for improved developer experience, and aligned specs with actual behavior.
-
Initiated GitLab CI/CD to automate builds, previews, and publication, ensuring continuous documentation updates alongside software releases.
This structured, bilingual documentation now empowers both developers and administrators with clear, up-to-date guidance—streamlined through a modern docs-as-code pipeline.
👩💻 My Role
As Senior Technical Writer & Consultant, I audited Coheris’ outdated FrameMaker and Word manuals and devised a docs-as-code approach using Docusaurus in GitLab.
I migrated all content to Markdown with integrated French/English i18n, revamped the REST API section with ReDoc, refreshed visuals, and set up CI/CD workflows across main, develop, and release branches to automate builds and publications in close collaboration with R&D.
