Translate and Localize

How I Localize Applications and Documentation

Localization isn’t just translation — it’s a process. Here’s how I approach it:

  1. Internationalization Check – I review your app or documentation to ensure it’s ready for localization — separating content from code, supporting Unicode, and identifying hard-coded strings.

  2. Terminology Alignment – I build or adapt glossaries to ensure consistent use of technical terms, brand language, and UI labels.

  3. Translation & Adaptation – I translate content with attention to tone, clarity, and cultural relevance — adapting examples, idioms, and visuals where needed.

  4. Review & QA – I test the localized content in context — checking layout, formatting, and user experience across platforms.

  5. Continuous Localization – I support ongoing updates and versioning, so your documentation evolves with your product.
